Teacher’s Day
September 2021
Loving and divine souls,
May the best blessings of God and the Masters descend upon you all.
I take this opportunity to pray for you and send my best wishes for Teachers’ Day, which is celebrated to honor teachers.
It was originally the birthday of Dr. S. Radhakrishnan, the second president of independent India. He was primarily a teacher of philosophy in India and abroad. He later became a statesman and then president of India. Since he was a teacher, he enjoyed a day dedicated to the teachers of humanity in general and the teachers of India in particular.
Children and their teachers are the foundation of the future of human civilization. Children are like soft clay, and teachers are like potters. Children are like oddly shaped rocks, and teachers are sculptors. They have the ability and talent to shape according to their desire.
It is our duty to respect teachers. In Indian culture and civilization, teachers are held in the highest esteem. Kings and emperors leave their thrones and bow their heads at the feet of their teachers.
The teacher is happy to share his heart and soul, mind and intellect. After parents, teachers occupy an important position, and sometimes even more than parents, because the teacher’s dedication is no less than that of parents. Parents give the body life; teachers give the second birth to light and love. Parents take care of their children’s bodies through food and support until the children are able to take care of themselves. Teachers take care of children’s hearts and minds to be better people.
The teacher shapes the destiny of the child, the nation and humanity through proper education. In the past, teachings were voluntarily imparted by the teacher, and society looked after the teacher with devotion and respect. In Indian culture, education is to be given as a divine gift. Knowledge should be free and should be given to those who are able to perceive, perceive, practice and impart it to others in an appropriate manner. Knowledge should never be treated as a commodity that can be bought and sold.
The modern world is in chaos. Education has been commercialized and everything has a market value. This is regrettable. It is the duty of the teacher and society to redefine the goals of life.
It is time to consider instilling more human and spiritual values in children,
To make the world a better place.
My loving teacher, I bow to you from the bottom of my heart. I humbly request that you all abandon the race for money. While money is needed, we must be beacons to inspire, motivate and guide young children toward higher values.
There may be resistance, but through the strength of your character, your values will triumph.
On this special day, I bow to my parents, who were my first teachers; I bow to all my teachers who taught me directly or indirectly.I pray for all of humanity and creation.
With love,
Prajnanananda
