Everyone who wishes to practise receives initiation into the authentic technique of Kriya Yoga directly from the master or from a monk or teacher authorised by him. In this lineage there are no courses or correspondence lessons.
Upcoming seminarsThose who wish to receive initiation are encouraged to “prepare their field” by getting to know the teachings of the masters: Paramahamsa Hariharananda and Paramahamsa Prajnanananda.
A good start is a subscription to the online magazine Soul Culture (free of charge at kriya.org, in English) or reading a book by Hariharananda, Prajnanananda or “Autobiography of a Yogi” by Paramahansa Yogananda.
Usually on Friday evening, about 90 minutes. Open to everyone.
Transmission of the authentic Kriya Yoga technique by an authorised teacher.
At least three meditations led by the teacher. Then individual and group practice in your city.
The ancient tradition of transmission begins with the purification of the spine and the whole body. Each seeker is initiated individually, in direct contact with a teacher of this lineage.
The teacher helps to perceive the three divine aspects: sound, light and vibration. The initiation is translated into Polish, like the whole seminar.
The ancient tradition of transmitting the royal science of Kriya Yoga meditation begins with purification. Disciples take part in this sacred ceremony to purify the spine and the whole body. Each seeker is initiated individually, in direct contact with a teacher of this lineage.
The teacher directly helps the newly initiated to perceive the three divine aspects: sound, light and vibration. The seeker learns to see the inner light of the soul, to hear the divine sound and to feel the divine vibration and pulsation throughout the body. During the ceremony the teacher chants sacred mantras with an explanation, translated into Polish.
At the beginning of the ceremony, basic techniques for calming the mind are taught to prepare the disciple to receive divine energies. Initiation into the Holy Stream of Divine Consciousness comes by overcoming the inner chatter of the mind. When thoughts grow quiet, one can immerse oneself in the Divine in the form of sound, vibration and light.
The first stage of the ceremony purifies the disciple’s body. Further purification takes place during the offering of the breath to the fire. Outwardly this ceremony is only a symbol, yet it works on deeper, subtle levels, and the depth of purification depends on the disciple’s longing and sensitivity. At the end of the ceremony the first-level techniques are taught, so that every new person can meditate alone and continue the purification. The whole ceremony, including the perception of the three divine aspects, is led by an authorised teacher or monk.
The three gifts (fruits, flowers and a donation) represent the causal, astral and physical body respectively.
The disciple offers the teacher three gifts as an offering to God and the masters.
Before initiation the disciple fills in a form for the newly initiated. We ask you not to disclose the techniques to others, in order to keep them pure.
We encourage the newly initiated to take part in at least three meditations with the teacher and in the weekly group meditations.
